Great venue for a intimate concert

I first saw Natalie Merchant live in 1997 at a Lilith Fair. I've been a fan ever since. I most recently saw her outdoors with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra as her back up.
Then she announced she'd be in Hershey. We got balcony seats so my diminutive wife could see. Nice plush seats, sure beats a lawn chair.
Her performance was excellent. A good mix of old hits and her new album. She was twirling all over the stage , doing her hippie chick dance, grinning, and in great voice. She sang Happy Birthday to an audience member, was interacting with the crowd, actually became so emotional during one song she stopped and had to start over.
As for the Theater, very impressive. The acoustics were great, just a little tinny/sharp especially the snare but not enough to matter. Not a bad seat in the house. Easy access. Parking was a bit of a huff, next time I'll leave earlier. And leaving, there wasn't a crush of cars.
All in all a very enjoyable evening. We even discovered a Primanti Bros. in town for that post-concert nosh. I would highly recommend seeing her this tour. And I'll be watching out for more concerts at Hershey Theater
